找主干口诀：① 先找谓语动词（有时态/情态/助动的那个）→ ② 往前找它的主语 → ③ 往后看动词后面缺什么（宾语？表语？宾补？）→ ④ 双逗号/双破折号中间、which/that/when 引导的部分一律先当作修饰跳过。

主干 = A place of peace is a human need。however crude it may be 是让步状语从句；句末灰色部分拿 shelter 作对比，不影响主干。系动词 is 后全是表语。

One could interpret much of the work of Beethovenby saying that suffering is inevitable, but the courage to fight it renders life worth living.
外层主干 SVO = One could interpret the work。by saying that… 方式状语里嵌套宾语从句；从句内部 the courage renders life worth living 是句型⑤（宾语 life + 宾补 worth living）。

主句主干 = we must ensure [that…]。句首 If… 条件从句、句末 that… 宾语从句都不改变”我们必须确保”这个核心动作。

前半句主干 = The upside is the possibilities；分号后 where…now… 是对比状语从句，内部 we were experts / we become authorities 都是主系表。
