tacēre「沉默」在印欧语中没有可靠的远亲；Watkins 未立根，词典多标「词源不明」。本页 PIE 行按存疑处理，不硬凑 *tāk-。
tacit 不是「安静」
tacit 指「未明言但可意会」（tacit consent 默许），不是 quiet/silent 的同义词；reticent 指人「不肯开口」，常用于形容对某事讳莫如深。
